30 Apr So Hum. What is it, anyway?? So Hum. I came across this phrase while studying Buddhism. Several years ago I declared I was a Buddhist. Although, at the time, I don't think I fully understood what Buddhism stood for. At the time, I was just into "declaring" things. (Ah, your 20s...) I have a much better understanding now and although I would never consider myself passionately religious, Buddhist principles are definitely the most aligned with what I think and feel. 08 May About Motherhood It's my third Mother's Day and as I sit here with a baby sleeping on my chest and another coloring at the table next to me, I feeling a lot of reflection about the last three years. 07 May MC Day 7 and Observations Day seven and one week completed of my year-long Meditation Challenge (MC). I'm actually quite impressed that I've made it a week. There have been several days where I've forced myself to step away and find time to do this. Granted, I definitely didn't get the most awe-inspiring session on those days, but at least I've made time to deep breathe for a few minutes. Yesterday was one of those days where there was just no time alone to meditate. I ended up having to sneak away in the evening. My
